PT Indo Rempah Lestari reported the presence of brown spot symptoms on leaf samples of vanilla plants cultivated in the company’s greenhouse area. The leaf samples exhibited brown spots on the leaf surface as well as small black dots within the leaf tissue while the leaves were still fresh.

This effort was marked by the inaugural harvest of the Gamagora 7 rice variety, held in Bayamgede Village, Kepohbaru District, on Saturday (February 28, 2026). Carrying the theme “Towards Sustainable Food Self-Sufficiency in Bojonegoro,” the event represents a strategic collaboration between the Food Security and Agriculture Office (DKPP) of Bojonegoro Regency and Universitas Gadjah Mada in addressing climate change challenges while enhancing regional agricultural productivity.

Hal ini ditandai dengan kegiatan panen padi varietas Gamagora 7 yang diselenggarakan di Desa Bayamgede, Kecamatan Kepohbaru, pada Sabtu (28/2/2026). Mengusung tema “Menuju Bojonegoro Swasembada Pangan Berkelanjutan”, kegiatan ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi strategis antara Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian (DKPP) Kabupaten Bojonegoro dan Universitas Gadjah Mada dalam menghadapi tantangan perubahan iklim sekaligus meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian daerah.
In response to the growing global threat to banana production, three lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), actively participated in a co-design workshop held in Manila in March 2026. The delegation included Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Subandiyah, M.Agr.Sc. from the Department of Plant Protection, along with Mrs. Valentina Dwi Suci Handayani, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. from the department of agronomy and Mrs. Alia Bihrajihant Raya, S.P., M.P., Ph.D. from the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics. They are part of a collaborative research team under ACIAR, focusing on the management of banana wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (TR4).
Dalam upaya merespons ancaman global terhadap komoditas pisang, tiga dosen dari Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan workshop co-design yang diselenggarakan di Manila pada Maret 2026. Kegiatan ini berfokus pada perancangan strategi terpadu dalam pengelolaan penyakit layu pada tanaman pisang yang disebabkan oleh patogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (TR4).
