GUNUNGKIDUL – The Agriculture and Food Office of Gunungkidul Regency organized a Technical Training on Tobacco Cultivation funded by the Tobacco Revenue Sharing Fund (DBHCHT) for Fiscal Year 2026. The training took place at the Secretariat of the Sumarah Farmers Group (KT Sumarah), Ngawis 2 Hamlet, Ngawis Village, Karangmojo District, Gunungkidul Regency, on Thursday (20/8/2026).

A total of 36 students from the Plant Protection Study Program, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases (HPT), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) officially graduated on August 21, 2026, in a solemn graduation ceremony. This moment marked an important milestone for the graduates after completing their academic journey in the field of plant protection, while also signifying their readiness to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector and national food security.
