
On 15 July 2026, the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held its June 2026 Graduation Ceremony (Yudisium) for twenty graduates representing the department’s three academic programs: the Undergraduate Program in Plant Protection, the Master’s Program in Pest Science, and the Master’s Program in Phytopathology. The graduation ceremony was held in the Department of Plant Protection Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Building A1, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The event served as a meaningful occasion to celebrate the academic accomplishments of the graduates while marking the completion of their educational journey.
During the ceremony, the graduates shared reflections on their experiences throughout their studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. They expressed that pursuing their education in the Plant Protection, Phytopathology, and Entomology programs had provided valuable opportunities to develop both technical expertise and transferable skills. In addition to acquiring comprehensive scientific knowledge and practical competencies, they also emphasized the importance of building professional networks and gaining meaningful experiences that will support their future careers.
The graduates also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to study at the Department of Plant Protection, UGM. They conveyed their hopes that the department will continue to grow, produce outstanding and impactful graduates, and remain a leading institution in education, research, and community service. They also extended their sincere wishes for continued health, success, and prosperity to all faculty members who have guided them throughout their academic journey.
This graduation ceremony reflects the Department of Plant Protection’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and producing highly qualified graduates who are prepared to contribute to society and the advancement of sustainable agriculture. The event is aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting high-quality higher education, SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through the development of future professionals dedicated to sustainable agriculture and food security, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by encouraging a supportive academic environment that nurtures personal and professional well-being, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening collaboration among students, faculty members, alumni, and stakeholders in advancing education and sustainable development.
