The Dies Natalis is one of the annual flagship programs organized by the Student Welfare Department of IMHPT, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, to commemorate the establishment of IMHPT. This year’s celebration carries the theme “Harmony in Togetherness for Plant Protection” and was conducted on July 14, 2026. The event aims to strengthen harmony, solidarity, and the sense of family among members of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The celebration was held offline at the Hardjono Danoesastro Auditorium and consisted of a series of activities, including the opening ceremony, welcoming remarks, appreciation awards for PORTANI athletes, the ceremonial cutting of the traditional cone-shaped rice (tumpeng), entertainment performances, and a communal meal. The participants included active and inactive IMHPT members, lecturers, and educational staff of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases.
The IMHPT Dies Natalis contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by fostering a supportive academic environment that promotes mental well-being and social connectedness among the academic community. It also supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening an inclusive and collaborative academic culture, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by enhancing collaboration among students, lecturers, educational staff, and alumni to build a harmonious and sustainable academic community within the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases.
