The Plant Protection Student Association (Ikatan Mahasiswa Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan/IMHPT) successfully organized Ultimate Skill Enhancement 2026, an annual upgrading program for its active members, on 21–22 June 2026 at Villa Abmarina, Yogyakarta. The program aimed to enhance the capacity and quality of IMHPT’s human resources while strengthening communication, coordination, collaboration, and solidarity among members in carrying out organizational responsibilities.
The program commenced with a talk show featuring invited speakers who provided insights into the development of essential soft skills, particularly communication, coordination, leadership, and collaboration. Through this session, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of interpersonal skills in supporting organizational effectiveness and personal development as future academics and professionals in the field of plant protection.
Following the talk show, participants joined a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) designed to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through organizational case studies. Working collaboratively in groups, participants analyzed various organizational challenges and developed innovative, practical solutions, fostering a culture of teamwork, active participation, and constructive decision-making.
The event also featured a variety of team-building games aimed at strengthening teamwork, improving collaboration, and fostering stronger relationships among members. These interactive activities created an engaging atmosphere that encouraged trust, cooperation, and mutual support within the organization.
In addition, participants took part in a sharing session, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences, reflect on organizational dynamics, and discuss personal development. This session encouraged open communication, constructive feedback, and stronger interpersonal relationships, further reinforcing the sense of unity within IMHPT.
The program concluded with a campfire gathering, serving as a memorable closing activity that strengthened friendship, fostered a sense of belonging, and reinforced members’ commitment to advancing IMHPT in the future. Through Ultimate Skill Enhancement 2026, participants were expected to further develop their organizational competencies, leadership qualities, and collaborative spirit to support the continuous growth of the association.
Ultimate Skill Enhancement 2026 contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing students’ leadership, organizational, and interpersonal competencies beyond formal academic learning. The program also supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by fostering effective organizational governance through stronger communication, collaboration, and leadership among members. Furthermore, the activity contributes to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening partnerships and teamwork within the student association, promoting a resilient, collaborative, and sustainable organizational environment.
